Ahmet Musab Beşbadem

Ahmet Musab Beşbadem

Founder
He is a senior year Chemical Engineering student at Gebze Technical University. He conducted research at Uppsala University’s Ångström Advanced Battery Centre on low-temperature Na- and Li-ion electrolytes. He is researcher in TÜBİTAK 1001 project on piezoelectric additive-based Sb/C anodes for Na-ion batteries. He is founder of musabbesbadem.com, sharing research and article analyses on energy storage. He is content creator of Young Battery Seeker YouTube channel.

He recently graduated from the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Gebze Technical University. Now, he has started studying at Istanbul Technical University for a Master’s program at the Energy Institute. He worked on anode materials for sodium-ion batteries during his final year of his bachelor’s degree.

Hasibe Nur Peksöz

She recently graduated from Gebze Technical University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering. She was a scholarship recipient in the TÜBİTAK 1002 project at the Gebze Technical University Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Laboratory and completed his final project in this laboratory. She was Scholar in European Union project about Li-ion coin cells in the battery department of TÜBİTAK–RUTE – energy storage systems. She completed his internship about LMFP cathode and Li metal batteries at Boğaziçi University – Laboratory of Advance Technologies for Energy Storage (ATES).

He is a final-year Chemical Engineering student at Gebze Technical University, focusing on battery and energy storage technologies. He is a research intern in a TÜBİTAK 1001 project on piezoelectric materials for sodium ion batteries. He is also working on zinc anode protection layer for his graduation project.

He is senior chemical engineering student at Ankara University. He has completed internships in private sector about lithium ion battery production and R&D. Also he is working on TUBITAK based projects which are related to activated carbon and supercapacitors currently.

Gökçe Kömürcüoğlu is a researcher at the Nanotechnology and Energy Storage Research Laboratory (NEDAL) at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. Her work focuses on the development of advanced materials and electrochemical systems for next–generation energy storage technologies. She is actively involved in research on zinc–ion batteries, lithium–sulfur batteries, and zinc–ion capacitors. Her studies also include the synthesis of nano-materials and the design of gel polymer electrolytes to enhance battery performance and stability.

She is working on aqueous electrolyte zinc-ion batteries for her thesis. She has graduated from Yıldız Technical University with a degree in chemical engineering in 2023.

He is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Missouri University of Science and Technology under the guidance of Dr. J. Park. He is pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on the synthesis and electrochemical analysis of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials for next-generation lithium-ion batteries. He has experience in electrode fabrication, electrochemical testing (CV, EIS, GCD), and material characterization. He earned his B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering from Sathyabama University in 2021 and previously worked at Garuda Aerospace and Ziegler Aerospace in design and testing roles.

He is currently studying for a master’s degree in Physics at Gebze Technical University. He also graduated from the Materials Science and Engineering program at Gebze Technical University. He works in the fields of thin-film coating using magnetron sputtering, catalysts, and PEM fuel cells.

He is a Bachelor’s student in Materials Science and Engineering at Gebze Technical University. His work focuses on battery technologies, specifically the methodology, material characterization, and electrochemical evaluation of polymer-coated silicon nanoparticle anodes for lithium-ion batteries. He conducted an Erasmus+ internship at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Norway within the Battery Department, where he contributed to the Horizon Europe project SALAMANDER. His academic research includes investigations into self-healing polymer coatings on silicon nanoparticles.

She is an Assistant Professor at Afyon Kocatepe University, holding a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on energy storage and rechargeable battery technologies, with a particular emphasis on the design, synthesis, and characterization of transition-metal-based layered oxide cathodes for next-generation lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. She has extensive hands-on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization techniques.

He is a second-year Computer Engineering student at Gebze Technical University. Following three years of medical education at Hitit University Faculty of Medicine, he transitioned to computer science to focus on artificial intelligence and software development in the healthcare sector. His technical work centers on artificial intelligence, primarily reinforcement learning algorithms applied to control theory. He serves as the Webmaster for the Young Batteries team, managing the digital infrastructure.
